Portsmouth-based Britannia Maritime Aid unveiled their latest plans to Penny Mordaunt MP regarding their multi-purpose disaster-relief, training and ocean advocacy vessel. Their ambition is for the vessel to be entirely UK built.
Penny said “More planning meetings today to build maritime assets for the UK and #Commonwealth nations. 50% manned by apprentices, multi-role, highly flexible vessels. Massive interest from nations and industries. Ambition is for 100% UK built. Described as ‘the seed’ UK shipbuilding needs. Watch this space!”
