EU Settlement update - June 30th 2021 deadline

EU Settlement Scheme – Less than 10 days left to apply

Today there are less than 10 days to go until the deadline of 30 June 2021 for applications to be made to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS).

The UK Government has always been clear we highly value the contributions EU, EEA and Swiss citizens make to the social, economic and cultural fabric of the UK and we want them to stay in the UK. It is a priority for the UK Government to protect the rights of EU citizens living in the UK, which is now more relevant than ever as we approach the deadline.

There have been over 5 million grants of pre-settled or settled status, allowing millions of citizens to continue to work, study, and access free healthcare and benefits in the UK after 30 June 2021. Applications can be made at www.gov.uk/eusettlementscheme

Help available

The Home Office continues to ensure that the EUSS is accessible and that the process is capable of handling vulnerable applicants with flexibility and sensitivity. Support is available through the Home Office’s Settlement Resolution Centre seven days a week by telephone and online, for anyone who needs help with their application. Those who don’t feel confident applying online can contact the Assisted Digital service on 03333 445 675 or email visa@we-are-digital.co.uk for support.

The Home Office has a dedicated team of more than 1,500 people working alongside a grant-funded UK-wide network of 72 charities and local authorities dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable and hard-to-reach applicants. Up to £22 million has been made available to the grant funded network which will continue to support vulnerable and hard to reach applicants until the end of September 2021.
